Powershifter Plus is a reduced risk system that uses 3 separately designed EAs to make small and consistent account returns with minimal draw-down. It is the results of considerable testing and does also include strict trading rules including not trading on Fridays & not trading during periods of high volatility.
Powershifter Plus is designed to return between 8% and 12% account returns per month with maximum draw-down of 20%.
Powershifter Plus is up 33% on the account for the month to date and the reason is due to manual trades applied on EURUSD, USDCHF and AUDUSD Forex pairs. Whilst manual trades are not ideal as they involve interpretation of signals and conditions, the benefits appear to outweigh the negatives. The downside to the manual aspect is of course the draw-down and what a whack this has had. Prior to the manual trades draw-down was less than 10%, now we are looking at a 42% draw-down – however this was due to a one-off bad Friday where the USD was sold off and the manual trades rode out the EURUSD gains.
We are not sure of the direction of the EURUSD at the moment, various sites were talking a 1:3330 target and others are talking a bullish move to 1:4440 region. The trend does appear to be still bearish, however we are going to be more cautious early next week. There is so much escalating across the globe it is very hard to determine the USD direction and how the market will react to all of these different scenarios. One thing that is still very apparent, the market moves on announcements and our theory is that an announcement will be the turning point of the bearish EURUSD to turn into a bullish run – especially as it is odd how analysts are talking up the US economy when there is no proof that things have turned around.
Whilst the search for the best systems continues and will be an ongoing quest, the truth of the matter is that the systems that appear too good to be true, actually are, and do not perform in reality. Many many websites sell dreams of those fortunes that will abound when you buy their system, and the vast majority of these are scammish. Having come across most of these and sorted out the duds, it is important not to become jaded and numb to searching for that illusive and ideal system.
