According to Van Tharp, expecting the same trading system to work in all market types is one of the main problems traders have in getting their system to work. He calls trying to make a system work in all market types “the definition of insanity”.
Last week, I was lucky enough to write about this topic in his newsletter.
For those that don’t know, Van is the world’s premier trading psychologist, and I would say his firm does the world’s best high level trading education. He was also interviewed in Jack Schwager’s original Market Wizards book, and as many of you know I am a huge fan of this series.
Here is what one kind gentleman had to say about the article I wrote:
“Your article in the Van Tharp newsletter on FX Market Types is really great…it simplifies the concept and makes it so useable.”
If you would like to read the article, you can do so here.
I thoroughly recommend that you sign up for Van’s free newsletter. For those in Australia, he is coming to Sydney next year, and his course is really worth it if you are serious about making money trading. In fact, I would not be here writing this today if it were not for Van.
